My experience learning English at university

Well, first I will say that when I went to university to study psychology, I had a very poor and basic English. At school I was taught very few English. I probably have the guilt of not learning because he was never attentive in class, now I regret it. Sniff ...

In university he was also with the idea of not learning, but it was impossible. This for the reason that very few students per class, one must participate actively in the class and I can not do silly because the teacher is looking to say something, anything.

My learning has been difficult, but the reason that I do not like and because I can not learn English. English teachers within the university are very friendly and charismatic, they are eager to help students learn, I like that. Classes are dynamic and fun, but sometimes it's embarrassing to talk in front of everyone. On the other hand, I love blogs because with them I trial script relaxed and thoughtful way.

I think I need to improve my pronunciation. I think this helps a lot to listen to music in English. However there are many things I have to improve jijijiji.

Outside the university I occupy little or nothing English, probably that's the reason why I need to learn, and I practice very little English. Do not think of one day to another achieves learn all English, need to push myself because currently looking for a job when you have knowledge in this area is very positive.

My future job

Always I think about my future job, it´s a subject very important for my life. I would like to work in something that I enjoy, I imagine that all want that. I hope to work like to psychologist in some place nice and comfortable. I want work with children and teenagers with problems. I think that it´s likely that work in mi city Curicó, because I don´t like Santiago. However there are more    possibilities of work in Santiago, since is the city is big compared to Curicó. But I would like to be near to my family and my friends, for these reasons I would rather go out of Santiago.

Also I consider that my job must be different professional of mental health, for do a good work with the patients. I want that the place have green areas. Also it´s very important aesthetic and attention when is a work with person. I don´t like when go to the hospital with walls dirty and soil also, and the attention is bad.

Of course I would like travel and study in other country for know more about the psychology. But for the moment not there nothing clear, however it´s my dream. Too my boyfriend study psychology and we hope that to travel together. 

Have you had a good year?

Well... what can I say first?

In this year I am in my fourth year of university, and have learned many new things in my classes, I am very excited to begin my professional practice, although still not chosen where to do it. I hope the next year I can show well all I have learned. An achievement is to pass with good grades in my class and not repeat any. Also I am ending english, and I am very happy because I don’t have to study more for that jijiji. Also this year I have managed to play sports and eat healthily for care of my physical and mental health.

On the other hand, I have worked in the banqueteria, and I earned money for my important things, the last year I never found work therefore I depended on my father. 

An event important this year, it was the birthday of my nephew, he celebrated first birthday of life, now he is so cute and big although still is a baby, is my baby.

Also this year we completed with my boyfriend, five years together of much love jajaja. It has been a good year, no fighting and anger, with many travels and parties.

I am happy, because my family has good health and we are all in peace. I hope that the next year will be better still.

My favourite films

Hello everyone !!

Time back, I spoke about my favourite film that is "The lord of the ring", however my second favourite film is "Resident evil". Is a great film, I recommend that the persons see it. I love the films of zombies and scary. I am waiting of the next film that continue, to see it in the cinema. The main personaje is interpreted for Milla Jovovich, she is a wonderful actress.

In Resident evil a dangerous virus has spread for the all world accidentally or intentionally by the umbrella corporation. This virus infected the persons and animals so the virus is spreading very fast. The antivirus is not enough to prevent the spread of the virus. When the persons. When the people are infected want to eat human flesh and your color of body is pale and your eyes are strange... the truth is that they are very ugly.

I remember when my brother played in the playstation a play of Resident evil, I enjoyed much watching like played, although after I could not . From that moment I like this film.

I recomend this film because is of accion and scary, it is very good!. However is only for higher, not is good see this movie with children because then they can dream on the night and have nightmares.  

My favorite free time activity

In my free time I like to do different things with my friends or my boyfriend. In the day with my boyfriend we like eat a lot fast food, but after we promise to never again. Also we enjoy of a good films in my house with my family. Sometime we go to the mountains for the day, because he has a house in the Radal 7 tazas. We enjoy go to the square in the night to eat sunflower seeds and we sit in the pews. And any way, there are many things that I like do in company with my boyfriend, we are never bored when we are together.

With my friends sometime we go to the shopping, for to see and buy offers or something cute. Also I like when we go to the happy hours, because we speak about other person we laugh a lot. Also I like to bicycling in the city and visit different places.

when I am free, I like visit my grandmother and speak of different subjects with her, I enjoy its company. But, the most that I like is see to my nephew and care for him at home, but is very restless and stressful, I love it. Sometime with my sister we like cook, things entertaining and easy, for example cupcakes and other things small

My best holiday

I remember when I went to north of Chile, in the year 2009 with my father and his girlfriend, of course I needed go with someone, therefore I invited one friend. The travel it lasted more or less 10 days. It was night when we went, fortunately my friend and me we slept because the travel it was very long and boring, but my father was very tired so that we stopped occasionally. Until we arrive to Copiapó, and we toured many places near.

The path it was very beautiful, the places that more I liked it was Bahía Inglesa, because it is a beach very beautiful and different with turquoise waters. Also it was summer so that with my friend we swam a lot in the sea. I remember that in the night I could not sleep, because my body It was burned for the sun.

Also knew the national park Pan de Azúcar, it is very cute. However, the true I don’t know that more say, because I don’t remember very well.

It was my favorite holiday because I knew many places beautiful and I enjoyed in the beach. I can say that I prefer go to the north because I love the heat. 

DOG

My favourite animal is the DOG, because it is the animal of companionship, faithful and they are very fond of their caregivers. From when I was little always I have liked the dog. I remember my first pet was a dog that my mother found in the street alone, at that time it was very happy until it was lost when we moved from the city, then I thought that I don’t like to have other animals, because it was very sad.

However the last year my brother with his girlfriend bought a boxer dog for my family. He lives in my house, specifically in my patio, although it is very small for him. With my boyfriend we built a house for him, but it seemed that he did not like it, because he prefers to sleep inside of my house, it is very loving.

I would like to speak about the characteristics of my dog, it is white  and has a few black patches it is very beautiful and medium-sized. His name is Roger, like “Roger Waters”.  It is the most special dog that I have know, sometimes sleeps in my bed when no one is at home and wakes up when someone comes. When we arrive to Curicó he greets me very happy, and skips for all the places.  

A country I would like to visit

Hello classmates and teacher!

In this moment I will write about a country that I would like to visit. The truth is that there many country that I want to know. However if I have that choose a only country, I prefer Brazil. I must say that I don’t know very good why I like, but is my first priority when I have money. 

Is a country with many nature and beachs beautiful. Definitely is a good panorama for go out in the company of a loved one. Many people have told me that is a wonderful place. The person can go to different tourist places, for example Buzios, Cristo Redentor, Pan de azúcar, any way. Also I have heard that the persons of Brazil are very sympathetic

However not all is cute, also there much poverty in the “fabelas”. When I had the class about Brazil in my University, I met other reality of Brazil, especially when I saw the film “Ciudad de dios”. I hope someday visit this country and know your culture. 

Although I want know this country, first I want end known of north to south Chile, because is a good country and has many places to visit.

Good and bad points of 2014

I am from English one, and my progress has been pretty. In this semester I learned many things new and that's good. It was a good experience. I must admit I'm not very good at English and therefore cost me a lot learn.

I was pleased to create a blog During the semester, Because The Least difficult class was. It was a job no pressure, entertaining and so I learned. There was no class cancellation, unlike the previous year. The teacher is very good and nice, its classes were dynamic. 

Unlike previous years, the time went so fast, still I do not think is little to finish the semester.

What I do not like, is that there  much difference between some students who have good foundation in English. I do not like when the teacher talks all in English, because most of the time I dont understand anything :( hahaha. Another negative is that the classes were too late, and therefore after class it was night. Thus not always, I was in class.

Although I practiced English, I must study further to improve and get to english 4 more prepared and not being embarrassed when I do not understand something. hahaha

How green are you?

According what happens in chile, not there many information and culture about of how to help the environment through recycling. The people throw the cardboard and the plastic with all other garbage. The most people do not separate waste according to its material. Not there education for protect the enviroment. There is awareness to be caring for the planet, but few do.

The true is that I have not incorporated many habits of recycling in my daily life, however always that I can I reuse my bottle of mineral water and I never throw a paper on the floor. 

The most of time, in Santiago I use the bus as a transport medium, however I would like use more the bike, but here is dangerous with many car fast on the streets. The city is not prepared for that the human stop using their cars. 

I am not part of any association that help the enviroment, although it is an important issue. 

Maybe, because no catches many my attention I haven´t many compromise with the planet ,although it sounds ugly is the truth. 

I hope help with other person to a better world. So that in the future will not repent of having done something before when we could. Little things make the difference. 

The Perfect Song

Uff is very difficult for me choose a song when there many songs that like me, and all are very different. However, there a song very especial for me, because I like from many time. This song belongs to Chris Isaac, her named is “wicked game”. The true is that I can´t explain very well why I like too much, but I like it. You must know, to know what I mean, because is complicated demonstrate what this song transmits me.

Since that I was “little”, until the date I like. It´s not like popular songs and after they forget. In that time, I had no idea it meant the words to the song but I liked it anyway. 

I think the first time I listened it was because my brother he listened and me, mimicked of my brother, I started a listen. 

Always that I remember of this song, I listen for relax me and concentrate on my studies. During many time was the sound of my phone but then I got bored and changed.

I invite you to listen the best song for me. It is very beutiful although a little old and I love it. 

About the march of the nationalization of water.

This article talks about that many people gathered to march with the objetive that the private water management in Chile comes to an end, for defend and protect it.

Members of the movement talking about of that have to stop the characteristic private of the water and also need formulate policies to protect glaciers.

On the other hand there are people who have been fighting for a long time against the creation of projects that threaten the biodiversity of national parks.

Also a company wants to build a hydroelectric plant in Valdivia and the people who are against this, they are accused of terrorism, this has certainly brought many conflicts.

Water is a treasure in our society, I can not imagine the world without this resource. Is a resource of human right, but it is privatized and its negation is against the rights of individuals.

How sad to think that in Chile a national asset will take to make money, asset that should be of public domain. In this case the marchs are a good way to show discomfort nicely, however, fail to call so many people and the effects are few.

The best movie I have ever seen

There are many movies that I like, one of them is the lord of the rings and continuation the hobbit. It is a film very long and with much content of fantasy. I like his actors, when I was younger I liked that interpreting "Frodo" and "legolas". In her appear strange and magical creatures, also landscapes that appear during the movie are beautiful. On the other hand the music is another element that I love about this movie. I'm anxiously awaiting the premiere of continued hobbit, but I want the story never ends  

I love watching this movie with my family and something good to eat, but the truth is that I have seen both that sometimes bores me ahahah. If you still not the see, I recommend that you see it. 

Gollum is the creature most strange and entertaining of this movie.

Every picture tells a story

Is very difficult to choose a photo among many that I have, however I really like this picture because I remember a moment very special for my life and for all my family.  This photography is the last year, in the clinical Curicó. We was very nervous because came to the world my beautiful nephew, the good is that all resulted how we hope. 

Here appears my brother, with its son for first time, he was so excited. I like the way how was looking to Martín, transmits me love pure. They were in a small room while that us were behind a window, very happy for them. On the day It was a day that winter very cold and I was sick, so that I couldn't be near to my baby. It was a beautiful experience, I remember it with love.  I am happy that I have a nephew so cute, is the baby more tender.

A band that I love but nobody knows

Today I like several band, but the most important for me during this last time is Pink floyd. I met the band when my brother played  guitar songs of them. It was the first band in english that I liked it. On the other hand I saw the movie "The walls" and I loved it. I remember when I saw to "Roger waters", in the national stadium, It was a experience awesome, because all It was like be in the movie.

 

 

I think that its music is very relaxing and crazy, I like because is a group different to others. Its music have histories very interesting and sometimes strange. I enjoy the moment when I travel and I listen music of pink floyd, songs like "Mother" and "The final cut", that I like so much. I hope that you like this band, is a group of rock very influential in the history of music.

My favorite piece of technology

My favorite piece technology is my notebook!! 

This because, helps me to do many  things day to day. I used for sign in to hotmail, facebok and others pages of the university. Te most important is that with my notebook I can do reports for my classes.  I can find the information very good, without leaving my home, just with have  internet. Is of the best!! I not have to go the library. What I do not like is that the battery drains very fast.

For the other hand, also I save many old images and videos of my school and my family. I still remember when my father give it me my notebook in the Christmas the year 2012. It was a surprise very large, since I wanted have one computer. Then when I opened my gift I was very happy. In this moment my notebook It is a few slowly, because it have virus, soon I will repair it. 

Expectations for a new semester

In this moment I am in fourth year of university, therefore I would like learn many things about in my area of psychology, which is the systemic. In this semester I pretend to visit places in where I can see how the psychology is, at least more that the last year, for that in the next year the practice not to be difficult. By this reason I chose classes that help me to develop skills to care for patients in clinical environment. On the other hand, I hope to finish my classes well for to not delay me one year more in leaving university. 

Also I want work for to have money and going on winter holiday with my boyfriend, because we want to go for a ride the south of Chile.

Biography

Hello! , my name is Carolina Peña Méndez. I am 21 years old and I am 4to psychology on Universidad de Chile. I was born the day November 24 of 1992 in Curicó. In this moment I live in Ñuñoa Santiago, but only during months I have to go to university. When I finish my university year, I return to my beautiful city Curicó, to be with my mom, brothers, and my nephew. Live here with my dad and my friend, who also studied in this section. The true that I don't like Santiago, because I  miss my family, but I must make a sacrifice to study what I like. 

Also I have a boyfriend named Ariel, but we don't see very often because he live in Molina, therefore we talked all day by telephone. The good is that despite of distance, we love each.

In my free time I do different things to entertain me, for example I practice sports, I go to the gym with my friend. I often go to the cinema to see films interesting. Other thing that I do frequently is go to the mall to buy clothes. Also I love know santiago in my bycicle, although It is little dangerous for me because the people in the car don't have precaution.

I like psychology, specifically the systemic area. other thing that I can say of my is that I would like devote myself to work in consultorios and hospitals to help people.
